|  Patwa and his wife Urmila own this production business where they employ full-time nine women and 2 men who have all been with the group ranging from 3 – 15 years each.
The artisans are sometimes allowed to work from home. When there is enough work, Patwa has up to 45 artisans available for hire.
Their business has enabled the women in this group to qualify for insurance cards and other social services made available to artisans in India. Several women in Patwa and Urmila's producer group have received help with sending their children to school, as well as, disaster relief following recent floods, from the cooperative that Patwa and Urmila belong to through their jewelry business. | |
