Press Releases

The ripple effect of the AIDS pandemic in developing countries has resulted in many women (including grandmothers) carrying the responsibility of being the sole caregiver and provider for the vast number of children who have been left behind. In an effort to help these women provide for their children and grandchildren, Bajalia partners with organizations who are empowering and training mothers and grandmothers with new skills that bring sustainable income. Using locally sourced and in many cases, recycled materials, women around the world who have been affected by the AIDS virus in various ways are creating beautiful products while providing food, shelter and opportunities for their families.
