Handmade by the women in the West Indian delta region, which has been famous for lace-making for more than 100 years. Trapped in poor communities, these women use their crochet skills to provide food and care for their families. They've formed a cooperative that ensures fair wages and provides educational opportunities for its members.

A ribbon of lace rounds out this spring rosebud. Bright pink base peeks out from under the lovely lavender edging. Features soft gray leaves. Similar to our Double Bud Brooch, but measures only 2.25 inches in diameter.
