Handmade by the women in the West Indian delta region, which has been famous for lace-making for more than 100 years. Trapped in poor communities, these women use their crochet skills to provide food and care for their families. They've formed a cooperative that ensures fair wages and provides educational opportunities for its members.

Turquoise and lime scallops layer up to create a set of fun frills. Accented with gray trim, this brooch measures 2 inches in diameter.
