The Godavari Delta of West India has been home to lace artisans for over a century. Often oppressed by abject poverty, these women created a cooperative to fight for better working conditions and market representation. Now, the cooperative helps hundreds women earn fair wages for the work of their hands.
The crocheted flower adds a splash of color and fun as it suspends above the vintage-style brass chain. Style of chain allows easy adjustment to the length, up to 23 inches. Matching earrings measure 1.5 by 2 inches.
